I was lucky enough to win a lovely giveaway a little while ago...Iveth over at Madamoiselle Cranky Pants is the lovely lady who hosted it. The prize was some beautiful bunting...
I think it will go in M's room, she is in need of a bit of extra TLC. Extra homework in school and a re-jig of the pecking order in the school yard has led to some new pressures, which she is finding a bit hard.
Almost as good as the prize itself is the card that came in the parcel..it is a postcard of one of Iveth's pieces...

It was this image that I clicked on whilst browsing Etsy, which led me to Iveth's shop, and then her blog and then to facebook and eventually to this prize!
Iveth makes the most wonderful jewellery, which she sells, like I said on Etsy, under the name The Angry Weather.
And to top it all off it was all beautifully packaged...
Iveth had in fact written a post about this but thankfully I didn't see it!...I loved the element of surprise.
This parcel was all the sweeter this morning because I had just driven 20 miles (for 30 mins) in the pouring rain with one of my two and a half year olds screaming to the point of almost vomiting...all because Daddy didn't come with us!
There really is no reasoning with two year olds!
Maybe one day soon I will tell you about our recent visit to have the little one's eyes checked...but I need to recover first! The only consolation is that the eye Dr told me that one of her kids bit a total stranger on the thigh when he was 2!
It could always be worse!
Have a nice day everyone...and thanks Iveth!

What a lovely prize!
((hugs)) to Maeve. We've run into that some this year with our eldest too. It's hard to let go and let them work through the situation when all you want to do is jump in and fix it as if they were 2 years old again.
Thanks Beachgirl...especially for the hugs. I hope it all settles soon, for both our kids. It is more of an adjusment than anything else. But like you say it is difficult to just leave them at it.
Congratulations on the win - what a beautifully wrapped gift!
I hope the school issues get sorted for you all soon. My 10 yr old is happy going to school for the first time in 2 years, simply because a "friend" moved to another school.
This might make you smile - Gertie had pictures of some fabric on her blog yesterday - have a look!
Thanks SewMentalMama...Funny how these friends can affect their lives.
I didn't see that post of Gertie's..fancy that..my fabric is inspiring! Thanks for letting me know.
hello Millie, so nice to come back and catch up. my children start school on the 27th sept, and hw is not something they look forward too especially when it comes in abundance. I love the dresses you've been making. well done :)
Oh my Dina, That's much later than our start back. It is an adjustment for everyone when they go back to school.
Thanks for the comment about the dresses, I have enjoyed making them all.
Awwww what a lovely post!!! it made my day, thanks Millie! i'm so happy you liked it :D and that M is going to enjoy it :D
My baby girl is turning two next month and she's beginning to behave like a wild child! she trow fits everywhere. The other day at the park she threw herself on the dirt and started eating sand, i pick her up and she started to move like a serpent and escaped running like crazy. I was going mad but now that i remember, it's so funny :) hehehehe silly two year olds...
The bunting is up in her room Iveth and it looks so lovely...just right! Thank you again.
As for two year olds...they are a force to be reckoned with! My two quite often make themselves into a serpent shape when I pick them up, it's really herd to hold them, let alone strap them into a car seat! I have seen one of mine bang her head on the floor....she only did it once! It is good to know I'm not the only one with tantrum throwing 2yr olds!
