Purple Paisley Nature Walk Pullover
Ater seeing her brother's Oliver+S Nature Walk Pullover, M asked me to make her one. We had a look at suitable fabrics...she chose some purple-ish fleece that I got from Dots'n'stripes a while ago. It is actually a navy background with magenta paisley swirls on it, but the overall effect is purple.. She chose some magenta corduroy to put inside the collar. I was unsure....I shouldn't have been...she chose well. She really loves it.
This is fast becoming a favourite pattern in this house...I am currently trying to figure out how I can make myself one!

Sometimes we just have to trust their choices!
They have to wear it!
Looks great Millie, I love this pattern
Awesome! Truly! It looks like it walked out of a high-end boutique - which, for a fleece, is pretty cool! Beautiful work - your girl has such a good eye (and clever mammy!)
She did a great job in choosing fabrics. Now when do the twins get their pullovers?:)
I agree Nicole....I usually let them choose their own fabrics. I love this pattern way more than I expected I would.....It is so clever! I have just traced the trousers in M's size (8).
Oh thank you Kathryn...I didn't do much... She chose the fabrics and Oliver+S made a clever pattern...all I did was sew it!
Thanks Cindy...they are not colors that I would be drawn to, although I did buy the fleece, I could never quite find a way to use it....The colors are good on her. She wore it to swimming lessons today...easy on, easy off and nice and snuggly afterwards.
My goodness, your productivity astounds me! How on earth do you find the time to make all these amazing things?? I've been planning to make simple felt birthday crowns for my twin's first birthday and it's taken me a month just to get to the shop to buy the supplies!! - I have 2 months left to make them and I know already I'll be down to the wire!!
Thank you Sadhbh!....The truth is I have to make the time....I find I am a more content person when I sew. It works my brain and my hands.
What a lovely idea to make the girls crowns! I am sure you will have them made in plenty of time!
It looks great, Millie! I'd like one for myself! I think I'll show your photo to my girls to see if they'd like one....I'd like to get back to the sewing room soon:)
When do you find the time to do sew all those lovely things? I sometimes struggle with only one child :-) The jumper looks really great in that fleece, well chosen M!
Thanks Andrea.. am trying to figure out how to use the collar and neckline for something more my size! I can understand why you would want to get back to sewing!
Oh Nicole, at times sewing really takes up way too much of my time and thoughts! But the thing is, if it wasn't sewing, it would be something else...I tend to be a bit obsessive about things!
This fleece really suits M well, like you say, she chose well!
Well done to M for choosing that lovely corduroy to match the fleece. I love when they start taking an interest in the colour and fabric stage, and seeing how they put them together. This pattern hasn't been one that I considered, but your fleeces are rapidly changing my mind!
Angela.
Thanks Angela..she has very set ideas about what she likes and doesn't. Sometimes she surprises me with what he chooses! She doesn't usually comform to a particular style, she has her own...thanksfully!
I really like this pattern, as you may have noticed! It is quite quick to make, especially after you've made one.
What wonderful colors! I think I could handle one of these in an adult size too, and just the same fabric. Purple is my favorite.
Thanks very much Val...I do like purple too, but hardly own any. The fabric is so lovely and cosy...she loves it.
how cool! I never noticed the pockets on this pattern before, I don't know why, but they really stand out on yours.
Thank you glayla....The kids love the pockets! I probably would have too when I was a child!
