For a friend's new baby girl...Lara is her name. It is from Ottobre 6/2007 pattern #9. It was my first time making it and it seems wide, but I'm sure it will fit for a long time. I left off the ribbon and bow and added a button instead.
I got a cuddle with her the other day and she's very lovely...as are all babies! And before anyone asks....no it didn't put the longing on me!
I am currently trying to finish another dress...a much bigger one...for me. I'm almost there!

Your idea for the button is one I could use - as I've usually sewn snaps to the inside as well as ribbon.
SewMentalMama...I'm not so fond of this pattern, I have to say. The button is false, I put snaps inside.
